The King of Dragons feels a beat’em up inspired by Gauntlet and Dungeons and Dragons. Much like Knights of the Round, The King of Dragons was released by Capcom in the arcades in 1991. It would be ported to the SNES in 1994. I wonder why Capcom waited to port this game to the SNES.Continue reading “The King of Dragons is one of the Best Beat’em Ups on the SNES”

The 10 Best Beat’em Ups on the SNES
I love a good Beat’em Up. While they can be repetitive and are better in the arcades, many were released on home consoles. They were ports of arcade games, but a few were unique to consoles like the SNES, SNES, NES, etc. I have many memories of playing these games with my friend Drew. SomeContinue reading “The 10 Best Beat’em Ups on the SNES”
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Nostalgia brought me here
Battletoads is one of those properties that is fondly remembered. The NES game isn’t that great, but it can be fun. Its main issue is being way too hard. The Peace Keepers: Best Game in the Rushing Beat Trilogy
The Peace Keepers is the final game in the Rushing Beat Trilogy. For some reason, Jaleco decided to butcher the trilogy when bringing it to North America by removing the plot from Rival Turf and Brawl Brothers. In North America, these games are mostly unconnected. Some recurring characters are either playable or hidden cameos. ItContinue reading “The Peace Keepers: Best Game in the Rushing Beat Trilogy”
The Best Beat’em Up on the SNES, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time has nothing to do with the movie and is based on one of Konami’s arcade games. While I have never played the arcade game, I have some memories of the SNES game. This was one of the games I was introduced to while collecting retro games inContinue reading “The Best Beat’em Up on the SNES, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time”
