Dragon Quest IV is my favorite game in the series at this point. Granted, I’ve only played five of the games, so I have a long way to go. When you just look at the other NES RPGs, this one really stands out because of how different it is. This game is more cinematic thanContinue reading “Dragon Quest IV: Best of the Four NES Games”

Which is better? Robotrek or Dragon Quest II
This is going to be a tough one to get through for me. Dragon Quest II and Robotrek are very different games, and I’ve had different reactions to them when I first played them. One of them instantly grabbed my attention, and the other ended up wearing me down as I played it. Both areContinue reading “Which is better? Robotrek or Dragon Quest II”
Which is better? Robotrek or Phantasy Star II
It has been a while since I’ve compared two science fiction games to each other. This time, I’ll be looking at Robotrek and Phantasy Star II. This should be fun because I really like one of these games, and the other is something that I want to like more than I do. Robotrek is aContinue reading “Which is better? Robotrek or Phantasy Star II”
Which is better? Robotrek vs Destiny of an Emperor
This is going to be another odd one. Robotrek and Destiny of an Emperor don’t have much in common. There aren’t too many RPGs out there that are similar to them. One interesting thing is that neither game has magic. These are two games that I played on an emulator first before finding the cartridgesContinue reading “Which is better? Robotrek vs Destiny of an Emperor”
Which is better? Robotrek vs Sweet Home
This should be fun to go through! Sweet Home and Robotrek are very different games, and don’t play like other RPGs. With how different these games are, this will get a little strange as I go through them. After all, one is pure horror, and the other is a comedic science fiction game. Sweet HomeContinue reading “Which is better? Robotrek vs Sweet Home”
Mindscape’s NCAA Football Game, It is not Great
This is such a strange game. NCAA Football for the Sega Genesis and SNES were both published by Mindscape. These games were released in 1994, and this was a one off game on the home console. This isn’t some in depth experience. It is similar to other college football games that only have a handfulContinue reading “Mindscape’s NCAA Football Game, It is not Great”
Which is better? Final Fantasy II or Dragon Quest
Final Fantasy II and Dragon Quest are very different games. One of them is very basic, and the other is more experimental. Both games have some good things in them, but they aren’t the RPGs that I would hold up as being great games. Dragon Quest was great for the time it was released. ThereContinue reading “Which is better? Final Fantasy II or Dragon Quest”
Which is better? Final Fantasy II vs Phantasy Star
Final Fantasy II and Phantasy Star have more in common than you might think. Both games have some interesting features that help them to stand out from other games. Not all of these features are good, but they’re unique to these games. Neither of these games is my favorite in their respective series. There isContinue reading “Which is better? Final Fantasy II vs Phantasy Star”
Which is better? Final Fantasy II or Dragon Quest II
Final Fantasy II and Dragon Quest II are games that I’ve changed my mind about over the last few years. Before I started making YouTube videos and blog posts about video games, I liked Dragon Quest II and really disliked Final Fantasy II. Now, things have changed a little for each game. Most of myContinue reading “Which is better? Final Fantasy II or Dragon Quest II”
Which is better? Robotrek vs Final Fantasy
Robotrek and Final Fantasy are pretty different games. They have different approaches to just about everything, but there are a handful of similarities. Many of them are because these are both turn based RPGs, and they have similar approaches to telling their story. These are two of my favorite RPGs. Final Fantasy was the firstContinue reading “Which is better? Robotrek vs Final Fantasy”
