TMNT II is a Great Game on the NES

TMNT: The Arcade game is one of the few arcade games I remember playing. That’s because it was everywhere, or at least that is how it felt. I didn’t grow up near an arcade, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t play arcade games. They were at movie theaters, restaurants, bowling alleys, and amusement centers. TheContinue reading “TMNT II is a Great Game on the NES”

Bucky O’Hare on the NES is Great

Bucky O’Hare wasn’t a game that I was aware of growing up. I didn’t know about the NES or Arcade games, the comics, or the cartoon. It was one of many media properties that just slipped through the cracks for me. There were so many cartoons and comics back in the 1980s and 1990s thatContinue reading “Bucky O’Hare on the NES is Great”

Blades of Steel on the NES is Great

Blades of Steel on the NES is a great hockey game. This, along with Ice Hockey, are two of my favorite sports games on the console. I also have a lot of memories of playing this one. Rocket Knight Adventures: One of the Best Platformers

Rocket Knight Adventures is the first in an odd series of games. It was released into a diluted field of new mascot side scrolling games. Seeing ghouls, skeletons, and gorgon heads was a little crazy for me as a little kid. This is one of the games that I’veContinue reading “A Look Back at Castlevania on the NES”

TMNT HyperStone Heist, The Best Beat’em Up on the Genesis

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an iconic franchise. I remember it most for the movies, the 80s/90s cartoon show, and video games. The two that stand out to me are the first NES and arcade games. TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist was new to me. I thought the only game on the Genesis was theContinue reading “TMNT HyperStone Heist, The Best Beat’em Up on the Genesis”

Rush’n Attack on the NES is a Decent Arcade Port

Rush’N Attack is a port of an arcade game called Green Beret. Why did they change the name? No idea, but I think it doesn’t matter all that much. The name is kind of fun and is a play on Russian Attack. I assume that is what Konami or their American office was going for.Continue reading “Rush’n Attack on the NES is a Decent Arcade Port”
