Dr. Mario 64 is a puzzle game for the N64 and is a remake of the first game in the series. Sadly, this isn’t the 64th entry in the series; it just has that stupid naming convention that Nintendo added to a bunch of their games. The game was released in North America in 2001,Continue reading “Dr. Mario 64 is a Great Puzzle Game”

NFL Blitz 2000 is a Great Arcade Port
NFL Blitz 2000 was ported to several home consoles in 1999. Midway made things a little confusing by porting NFL Blitz 99 and renaming it NFL Blitz 2000. I was trying to find a simple way of explaining this. It isn’t all that complicated; 99 is the arcade game, and 2000 is the console port.Continue reading “NFL Blitz 2000 is a Great Arcade Port”
A Great Boxing Game from Midway | Ready 2 Rumble
Ready 2 Rumble is one of the games that made me want to buy a Dreamcast. My friend Justing had the demo for it, and we had a lot of fun playing the game when we all got together. There was something that we all found fun to play and watch each other play. TheContinue reading “A Great Boxing Game from Midway | Ready 2 Rumble”
NFL QB Club 2000 is Not Great
NFL Quarterback Club 2000 is where the series really fell apart. This game was released in 1999 on the N64 and the Dreamcast. I’ll be looking at the N64 version, and I’m not planning on getting the Dreamcast version. Given the review scores from 1999, this is going to suck! Iguana handled the previous gamesContinue reading “NFL QB Club 2000 is Not Great”
WWF Attitude on the N64 Looks Good but is Annoying
WWF Attitude is one of the more memorable wrestling games from the 1990s for me. My friends and I rented it a few times and spent a lot of time with it. I think it is an average game now, but at the time, it was awesome. I like going back and seeing if theseContinue reading “WWF Attitude on the N64 Looks Good but is Annoying”
WCW/NWO: Revenge is the Best WCW Wrestling game
WCW/NWO Revenge is the sequel to WCW vs. NWO: World Tour. This critically acclaimed video game was released in 1998. I’m looking forward to playing it and hearing what people said about it at the time. This game needs a little warning. I have a used copy, and the previous owner altered a couple ofContinue reading “WCW/NWO: Revenge is the Best WCW Wrestling game”
WCW Backstage Assault on the N64 is Pretty Bad
I just want to get this one over with. WCW Backstage Assault is the final WCW video game. The developer made the bizarre decision to have a wrestling game without a wrestling ring. This feels like Vince Russo was part of the creative meetings behind the game. Every match is a hardcore match that takesContinue reading “WCW Backstage Assault on the N64 is Pretty Bad”
